On the moonlit shore, under the moon's rise, I look upon the deep. A lonely ballerina dancing in the night that is I. I search for paradise, but I know it is to come. I gaze upon the darkness and feel its agony- the pain I know well. I sense you, evil, yet I remain. Exhausted am I, but consumed not is my strength, The fire in me still is lit. I look upon the sea and see; times collide; inner explosions are evident; tears fall, they come and go like the tide. I search to find the truth among the world's lies, among its deceptions. Within my heart, my King, he calls. You are not alone- I am with you always. Be of good cheer- I am here. My Lord, enlighten my darkness; set my candle aflame. My God, I am fading out. My heart cries. Free me from what I see; free me from the tangled webs of this world. My Lord, you are my hope and my light, You are my treasure within the night. My child, look up and see- focus on me. I will wipe your eyes and give you peace. Look within and search your heart- for I am there. Hold on to me; I am your truth. The visions come to a still. I hold firm to my rock. Joy prevails. I look up. The God of heaven is mine. His love shines. I have the King of heaven. A lonely ballerina dancing in the night that is not I. -April Gray
